"Simeon The Northern Wizard" is a character born for a contest about creating a version of a modern witch or wizard. 

The base concept for him comes from the traditional "brujos" from north Peru, specifically the mountain zones of the Piura Regions . Details like the flora, the pet , the poncho and the wood staff help to complement the "traditional" side of the character while the contemporary clothes, hairstyle and the rebellious attitude complement the modern side.
